Week 1: Little Chefs — From Garden to Table

June 8-12

A hands-on favorite that children love and parents remember.

This week invites children into the kitchen to explore food as a blessing, a responsibility, and a source of joy. Through cooking and simple food preparation, campers build confidence while learning where food comes from, how it nourishes our bodies, and how we show gratitude for the rizq Allah provides.

Children will:

Prepare simple recipes using age-appropriate tools
Practice measuring, sequencing, and following steps
Learn gratitude for food and the many hands involved in bringing it to the table
Build independence, focus, and pride in their work
Share and enjoy what they create together, practicing good manners and thankfulness

Throughout the week, children are gently introduced to simple Sunnah practices related to eating, gratitude, and avoiding waste, helping them connect everyday habits with their faith in a meaningful, age-appropriate way.

This is often the week children talk about most at home, and one that fills quickly.
